Merujuk kepada http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks, jika lu orang ambil berat pasal performance bagi blog yang guna WordPress, the best WordPress permalink structure adalah:

Selepas mengambil kira beberapa SEO dan juga dari sedi performance. Gua pun nak tukar sebenarnya tapi bila gua fikir balik WordPress akan buat 301 redirect dari URL lama ke URL baru. Maknanya blog lu orang berisiko untuk tidak di index oleh Google.

Lagi satu merujuk kepada #16687, struktur permalink /% postname% / atau /% kategori% / tidak lagi memberi kesan dalam WordPress 3.3 (akhir tahun ini gua kira). Beberapa pembangun telah membuat beberapa patch dan akan dimasukkan dalam 3.3.

1. This is an early beta (don’t use for production sites!)
2. WordPress and WordPress MU have merge. That’s mean you can create multiple site (network).
3. If you enable multisite, Giving WordPress Its Own Directory will not work in WordPress 3.0. It interferes with the member blog lookup.
4. You cannot create a network in the following cases:
   • “WordPress address (URL)” is different from “Site address (URL)”

Sebelum ni aku da pernah postkan Ceramah Maulid Rasul.

Da 3 hari aku duk opis menyetup server baru ni. Ingatkan susah nak setup Windows Server 2008 ni..tak sampai setengah hari pun. da blh jalan PHP (Joomla, WordPress, phpMyAdmin), MySQL dalam environment IIS 7. Takut juga kalau performance lagi lembab dari dulu.

Pautan penting nak pasang FastCGI dan PHP pada IIS 7.0:

• Pemasangan FastCGI, PHP pada IIS 7.0
• Modul URL Rewrite pada IIS 7.0
  • Microsoft URL Rewrite Module for IIS 7.0 RTW (x86)
  • Microsoft URL Rewrite Module for IIS 7.0 RTW (x64)

Kalau nak install WordPress, boleh rujuk kat WordPress On IIS. Begitu juga dengan Joomla! on IIS 7. Tak perlu risau dengan URL Rewrite (prety permalink).

Lepas install, nampak mcm ok je tapi masih takut dengan performancenya. Jadi aku ada beberapa pilihan samada nak guna:

• IIS Output Caching
• WP Cache plugin untuk WordPress
• WP Super Cache plugin untuk WordPress

Aku rekomen guna IIS Output Caching sebab mudah nak pasang. WP Super Cache lagi mantap tapi payah sikit nak install. Untuk enablekan IIS Output Caching bagi WordPress tambahkan configuration section ini kedalam web.config file (located at the root folder of the WordPress site):

Step 1:
Create PHP file on your WordPress root and rename to password.php and put this code:

Execute and copy the text appear.

Step 2:
Open IE or Firefox browser, go to your phpMyAdmin (Note: use phpMyAdmin at your own risk.)

• Click your WordPress database
• All the tables in your database will appear. If not, click Structure.
• Look for wp_users.
• Click on the icon for browse or structure.
• Choose user and click edit
• Find user_pass and paste the text from password.php
• Click Go

Go to your WordPress Login page (something like http://yoursite.com/wordpress/wp-login.php) and type yourpasswordhere
